A Hot Day in Valley of Fire State Park, Nevada

Two days before I left United States my sister and hubby decided to drive me to the first state park in Nevada. That was September 22, 2012. Our other alternative  was to drive to Grand Canyon but it was too far from where my sister live.  We decided then to drive to the Valley of Fire State Park. It was  over 50 miles drive and it took us over an hour to reach there, considering the road condition. There is not really a good highway going there. What can you expect with park like this. Beside you really don’t need to drive fast so that, you can enjoy the scenery and landscape around the area.

Out visit to the oldest park of Nevada was all worth it. The various red sandstone formations  are amazing.  Nature itself had built  it.

Despite the hot weather during our  sightseeing in this park, me and my sister still manage to enjoy the sights and took some photos as remembrance from our sightseeing there.

Complex uplifting and faulting of the region, followed by extensive erosion, have created the present landscape. The rough floor and jagged walls of the park contain brilliant formations of eroded sandstone and sand dunes more than 150 million years old. Other important rock formations include limestones, shales, and conglomerates.

    I absolutely loved the Valley of Fire when I went out to Nevada. It is truly a desert that makes you feel you are walking in a dream. I adore your pictures and keep them coming!
