Sightseeing in Menton, France

I love this part of France! Menton is situated on the French Riviera, along the Franco-Italian border. It is nicknamed la perle de la France (“The Pearl of France”). I love this part of France and was so glad to visit it last April 2011.

The baroque basilica of Saint-Michel-Archange, with its bell-tower, was built in 1619 by the Genoese architect Lorenzo Lavagna.

Menton is a commune in the Alpes-Maritimes department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region in southeastern France.
