Go Travel and See Kaunas, Lithuania

I finally visited Kaunas, the second largest city in Lithuania after Vilnius last September 2012. It is around 110 kilometers from Vilnius. From our hotel in Lithuania’s capital city of Vilnius, it took us almost two hours to get there. It was a bus trip and if I am not mistaken buses are only allowed up to 100 km per hour when driving.

Our tour guide brought us to the most important sights in this  city especially in the Old Town. The   Kaunas Castle,  the  City Hall and its Square, St. Francis Xavier Church, Vytautas’ the Great Church,  Kaunas Cathedral Basilica, are only some of the sights we visited in this city.

It was only a short visit we had in Kaunas but I am so happy to see and experience some of the sights  this city.  I am thinking of going back there again.
